Terms & Conditions

1. Event

“Event” shall mean IOT Impact 2018, which will take place on 10-11 September 2018, at University of Technology Sydney, Australia. “Organiser” shall mean IOT Alliance Australia Limited.

2. Admittance to Events

A “CONNECT” delegate pass entitles the attendee to attend any of the Conferences, Workshops, Partner Labs, and the Expo across the two days of 10-11 September 2018.  Morning break, lunch and afternoon breaks are included.

An “ACCESS” pass entitles the attendee to attend only the Workshops, Partner Labs, and the Expo across the two days of 10-11 September 2018.  Morning break, lunch and afternoon breaks are NOT included.

Conferences, Workshops and Partner Labs run in parallel, and delegates are requested to indicate during registration which events they intend to attend. This selection is for planning purposes only – it is not binding.

Space in some venues is limited and the Organiser does not guarantee access to any particular event.  Access will be on a first come first serve basis.

A separate ticket is required to attend the cocktail reception and awards presentation.

3. Pricing

4. Payment

Payment is due in full at the time of on-line registration. Your registration will not be confirmed until payment is received as part of the on-line registration.

5. Refunds, Cancellation and Substitution

No refunds will be made if you paid at a standard price which is later discounted by a promotional offer.  No refunds will be made for cancellations. If you are unable to attend the Event and wish to substitute another attendee from your organisation in your place, you may make this change through the on-line registration portal up until 5pm on Friday 31 August 2018. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse any substitutions made after this deadline. Phone substitutions will not be accepted.

6. Event Program

The Organiser will endeavour to ensure that the published Event program is correct at the time of the actual Event. It may, however, due to unforeseen circumstances, be necessary to alter the program before the Event, and the Organiser reserves the right to do so without notice. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Event, in which case full refunds for registrations will be issued to attendees that have paid. The Organiser shall not be liable for any direct or indirect costs borne by the registered attendees. In the event of any occurrence not foreseen in these ‘Terms and Conditions of Participation’, the decision of the Organiser shall be final.

7. Confirmation e-mail and e-Ticket

Following registration, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address of the person who made the registration.  This e-mail will contain the e-Tickets of all people who were registered, as well as a single Tax Invoice.  It is not possible to send separate Tax Invoices for each individual.

Delegates can also elect to receive their e-Ticket via their mobile phone.

e-Tickets can be redeemed for your entry badge to wear during the Event at the Registration desk at the Event.

8. Conditions of Entry to the Event

The Organiser reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to limit or deny access to the exhibition, conference, networking events to any entity or individual.  Receipt of registration and/or payment does not constitute acceptance. Payments that are not accepted will be returned.

The Event is restricted to business people. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to non-business people, such as students and people under 18. Any students undertaking a recognised IT course wishing to attend the Event should have their course co-ordinator contact the Organiser to pre-arrange student visiting groups.

All visitors to the Event agree not to attempt to canvass exhibitors. Any visitors attempting to canvass exhibitors may be asked to leave.

All visitors acknowledge that they may be photographed or filmed by the Organiser’s official photographer/videographer, and consent to their image being used in promotional material by the Organiser.

9. Permission to use Mobile Text Messaging (SMS)

By providing your mobile number during registration for the Event, you are permitting the Organiser to SMS to your number up to 5 times. Should you wish you unsubscribe, reply “remove” to the SMS.

10. Personal Information and Privacy Policy

The personal information provided by you will be held on a database managed by the Organiser. It may be shared with companies involved in IOT Impact 2018, if you opt-in for this during registration.

Your personal information will also be encoded onto your badge, and you may allow sponsors, exhibitors and speakers to scan your badge to obtain this information so they can contact you later.
